VENUE + GENERAL INFORMATION

+WHERE IS SPACE LOCATED? HOW DO I GET THERE?

SPACE is located at 1245 Chicago Ave. in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago. We are one building south of the Dempster St./Chicago Ave intersection. SPACE shares an entrance with Union Pizzeria; the venue is located straight down the hallway past Union’s host stand.

SPACE can easily be reached via public transportation and driving.

  • CTA: The Dempster St. stop on the Purple Line will put you just ½ block west of the Dempster/Chicago intersection.
  • Metra: Either the Main St. or Davis St. stop will put you about 5 blocks from SPACE.
  • Car: Please click here for driving directions. Simply enter your start location. See our parking section if you plan to drive.
  • Cabs: Ride share services (Lyft, Uber) are generally readily available outside of SPACE following performances. North Shore Cab (Evanston) can also be reached at 847.864.7500.

*Out-of-towners: *please note that Chicago Ave. in Evanston is very different from Chicago Ave. in Chicago.

## +IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

There is plenty of metered parking along both Dempster St. and Chicago Ave., and meters do not need to be fed after 9PM.

Please obey any posted signs such as “No Parking” or “Permit Parking Only.” There’s nothing worse than ending your night of music with a trip to Lincoln Towing.

We do not offer valet parking.

AN UPCOMING OR SOLD OUT SHOW

+WHAT TIME DO DOORS OPEN FOR A SHOW?

Door times are listed on evanstonspacemusic.com and all event ticketing pages. Generally, the doors open to ticket holders one hour before the show starts. On nights with two shows, doors for the early show generally open one hour before showtime and doors for the late show open 30 minutes before showtime.

Please check the individual event listing/ticketing page on TicketWeb or evanstonspacemusic.com to confirm.

## WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOW START?

Please see the show’s event listing/ticketing page for door and show times.

## +HOW LONG WILL THE BAND PLAY? Set times vary per band/artist, but support artists generally play approximately 35-40 minutes. Headlining artists generally play 75 minutes or more.
## +AN ARTIST ANNOUNCED A SHOW BUT I DON'T SEE IT ON YOUR WEBSITE. HOW DO I BUY TICKETS? In rare instances, an artist or band will announce a show before it's listed on SPACE's website. Please follow us on social media (@evanstonspace on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) and join our newsletter — these are the first places we announce new shows and provide on-sale dates.
## +DO YOU KEEP WAITLISTS FOR SOLD OUT SHOWS? If a show is listed as SOLD OUT on our website, we will likely not be releasing more tickets. We do not keep a waitlist. Please join the official SPACE mailing list on the righthand side of our home page to stay in the loop on show announcements and large ticket drops.

In rare occasions, we do release additional tickets at the door, but we won’t do so until after the show has started due to capacity and fire code standards. If you live in the area, you’re welcome to stop by and check in with our box office staff, but there are no guarantees.

BOX OFFICE, TICKETING, + SEATING

+WHAT ARE SPACE’S BOX OFFICE HOURS? CAN I BUY TICKETS IN-PERSON?

Visit the Space box office on-site at the venue (1245 Chicago Ave.) on show nights from 5PM until 9PM to purchase no-fee tickets. During Out of Space weekends, OOS tickets will only be available for purchase at festival gates. We may not be able to accommodate ticket sales during peak show check-in times, so please plan your trip accordingly. We strongly recommend that guests secure tickets to a show by purchasing them online at evanstonspacemusic.com. All shows can be accessed via the homepage.

TicketWeb is the official ticketing provider for Space. Space cannot guarantee the validity of tickets purchased through platforms other than TicketWeb, nor is the venue responsible for losses due to scalped or invalid tickets. Check our weekly email and social media channels for pop-up box office hours and locations.

## +WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RESERVED TABLE SEAT, GA SEAT, AND GA LIMITED SEAT? Please note that not all tickets guarantee seats. Seating varies show by show, so pay attention to the event listing and the description of the seating level when purchasing. Descriptions are clearly marked under the ticket type on TicketWeb.

A seating chart can be viewed on most ticketing pages. (Note: the layout and number of seats may change depending on the show’s production needs.)

Reserved Table Seat: Guarantees one seat at a cabaret table. Every individual in your party needs a ticket in that section in order to sit at your table. If you see only 1 ticket in the dropdown via TicketWeb, only 1 ticket remains for that table.

Tables in the front row (11-15) seat 5 individuals. If you purchased less than 5 seats, you will likely be sharing a table with other patrons. Tables in the back four rows (21-45) seat 4 individuals. Table seats are held until one hour after the start time of the show. Even though your seat has a letter assigned to it, all seats at your specific reserved table number are first-come, first-served.

GA Limited Seating: Ticket guarantees access to the concert, but does not guarantee a seat. Seating is available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. If seating is absolutely necessary, please purchase a reserved table seat.

GA Seated: Guarantees a chair, but do not include a table. Seats for this section are generally located on the sides of the room. Seats for GA Seated ticket holders are guaranteed until showtime.

**GA Dance Floor or Standing Room Only: **Absolutely no seating. Please do not purchase a ticket in these sections if you will be unable to stand for the duration of the show.

ADA Seated: ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) seats are exclusively reserved for those who have a medical / physical requirement to be seated during a show, or otherwise qualify for ADA accomodation. Please visit beta.ada.gov to see if you qualify.

For ADA accessibility, please scroll down to view our ADA Accommodations section or email boxoffice@evanstonspacemusic.com to request your reserved ADA seating.

## +I HAVE A VOUCHER FROM A PREVIOUSLY CANCELLED SHOW. HOW DO I USE IT? Please **EMAIL US** at boxoffice@evanstonspacemusic.com to redeem your voucher. In your email, please include the voucher code, the show you’d like to purchase tickets for, and quantity so we can manually process the order on your behalf. We will do our best to get back to you within 24-48 hours.

Electronic vouchers CANNOT be redeemed for merchandise, food, or beverages at Space/Out of Space. They can only be applied to show tickets.

## +I HAVE AN OLD GIFT CARD. HOW DO I USE IT IN TICKETWEB? Existing gift cards cannot be used online. Please reach out to boxoffice@evanstonspacemusic.com so we can manually process the order on your behalf. In your email, please include the gift card number, the show you’d like to purchase tickets for, and quantity. We will do our best to get back to you within 24-48 hours.

Please note that VOUCHERS from previously cancelled shows are different from gift cards. Vouchers can only be applied to tickets and are not valid at the Space/Out of Space bar.

## +CAN I REFUND/TRANSFER MY TICKETS? All sales are final and refunds and show transfers are not available.
## +I HAVE EXTRA TICKETS. WHAT DO I DO? SPACE does not get involved in the resale of tickets. Guests with extra tickets are welcome to try and sell them outside of the building.
